On Saturday, the 23rd, Aracaju hosted the final of the eight categories of the Northeast Kart Championship, supported by the Sergipe Automobile Federation (FSA) and the Sergipe Kart Association (ASK), with the support of the Aracaju City Hall, through the Municipal Secretariat. of Youth and Sports (Sejesp).

The event took place at Kartódromo Emerson Fittipaldi, located on Orla da Atalaia, a space that was recently renovated by the municipal administration, with one of the objectives, precisely, to host important competitions such as the Championship.

One of the aims of the Strategic Planning of the City Hall to consolidate tourism is to support and attract events. The measure, in addition to generating tourist demand and heating the tourism production chain, projects the capital Sergipe on the competitive tourism market for the entire country.

“Every time we host events of this size, in addition to the economic benefits, we also gain from spontaneous marketing. According to Kennedy Fonseca, President of the Federation of Motorsport Sergipe (FSA), the success of the Northeast Kart Championship must be shared with the City Hall of Aracaju, through the directorates of Sports and Youth (Sejesp), Industry, Trade and Tourism (Semict), and municipal companies Works and Urbanization (Emurb) and Urban Services (Emsurb), “which supported the entity from the beginning for the North-East Kart Championship to take place in Aracaju”, says the leader.

Kennedy Fonseca reported that most of the pilots and their crews arrived on Monday, the 20th, “have been here in the city for about eight days, stay in our hotel chain and consume products and services in our bars and restaurants.”

“Each driver, a total of 120 in this competition, does not come alone, he arrives with a team structure, mechanics, communication and relatives. I can say that we have over 700 people from several states in our city, generating currency for motorsport and tourism “, says Kennedy.

Drivers from several teams unanimously appreciated the structure and quality of the Kartódromo Emerson Fittipaldi, recently renovated by the city of Aracaju to host the Northeast Kart Championship and the Copa Brasil de Kart, which will take place in July.

Another driver who praised the circuit was Fábio Pereira Monteiro, from Palmas / TO.
