Bauhaus Paratissima: The Appointment Program

Thursday, May 5 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. | Liquid opening party
On the occasion of the opening of the Liquida Photofestival, the contemporary art center ARTillery organizes an event that combines photography and music. The Liquida Photofestival – power by Paratissima – in its first edition wants to be a reference to reflect the state of photographic research in its different expressions and tries to give a voice to the new talents of contemporary photography. A festival in which the image flows, following the course of a river that is sometimes impetuous, sometimes docile, but never able to cope with itself. In addition to exhibition content, lectures, workshops, publications and laboratories, the Liquida Photofestival will enliven the spaces of the ARTiglieria Con / temporary art center from May 5th to 29th. In order to celebrate the opening day together, the exhibition rooms will exceptionally be open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and the entrance ticket for all visitors will be reduced to 5 euros. Instead, it will be possible to enter the inner courtyard and the Bauhaus interiors free of charge. The event’s soundtrack will be curated by Italian experimental electronic music composer and producer Corgiat. Born in 1995, he specialized in electro-acoustic music composition at the Turin Conservatory after years of studying classical and jazz piano. The artist has performed for several well-known festivals such as Movement, Robot and Seeyousound Festival and has gained wide recognition for his sophisticated speculations on the perception of sound and its relationship to human nature.

This is indie is a new way of experiencing indie pop music: the audience will find themselves in a coherent and convivial atmosphere singing and listening to the most popular songs of the Italian and foreign independent scene. The format quickly conquered the most important Italian cities, animating clubs and cultural centers according to the notes of the most listened songwriters and music producers, uniting several generations of artists and audiences. The event is free of charge, registration is possible via the social channels Bauhaus and This is indie.

Friday, May 13 from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. | What is your vision?
It is the event conceived by the Turin start-ups Spunzone and Domethics as part of the international music event Eurovision 2022. What’s your vision is the theme of the evening: space vision, audio vision, super vision, television, pre-vision , en-vision are just some of the terms that can arise from the declension of the word VISION. The present and online public will be directly involved in the search for their own “vision” through a competition that will take place on social media and throughout the evening. They are asked to present their own and personal interpretation of “vision” through a story on Instagram: whether video or photo, their reinterpretation of the word must stand out powerfully – underlined by the hashtag they will create specifically. In addition, by tagging the pages of Sounzone and Domethics, the stories will be shared on social networks and projected on the evening of the event. Finally, the four main stories are synchronized with the music in the Soundzone catalogue. The two organizing startups work with the concept of vision in a similar and at the same time dissimilar way. Soundzone is about dubbing: it combines two different visions – that of the video maker and that of the music producer – to create an end product that can amaze and delight. Domethics, on the other hand, deals with the transformation of old smartphones and tablets into new and powerful home automation gateways: past and future meet through a single and environmentally friendly visionary device. The Paratissima venue itself, which will host the evening, is the perfect example of a convergence of different visions. For the duration of the event, in fact, it will host the Liquida Photofestival: the exhibition that examines the state of photographic research in all its possible forms, under the artistic direction of Laura Tota. For sound reinforcement of the event: Luca De Gennaro | TmZ | Vespa | Luigi Rocca | Boss Doms.
