“We had two options: either a shopping center, which was soon abandoned, as it was clearly not in our style, or an active facade,” the businessman specifies. With Idea! Zarvos, with whom they had already spoken, the proposal came true. The work on the settlement of this premises, which has never had tenants, should be ready by November of this year. In the event of a delay, which is very likely, Paola will ensure that she does not open her doors before February. “It’s not worth it,” he says.

From the 200 square meters that Arturito has today on Rua Artur de Azevedo, in Pinheiros, the restaurant will grow to 754 square meters. This large space includes a ground floor surrounded by a garden with 92 seats and a right to an open area with 22 more seats.

It also has a ground floor where there will be a kitchen, dressing rooms and offices. This area will also be occupied by a private room with a capacity of up to twelve people. That is, with the sum of two floors, the number of seats will triple – today it is 42 seats.
To meet the demand that is expected to form, the restaurant must employ eighty employees. “That’s more than double our current figure,” says Goldenberg, who, when asked how much money it will take to complete the project, ducks. “You know, I never talk about investments,” is the answer.

Although Paola and Goldenberg have a partner in the network beautiful private investment company Investment concept, Arturito belongs only to the duo. “We are in talks with some other investors, but thanks to the super positive experience we had with La Guapa, we are still very judicious about investors entering or not entering the project, but always open to opportunities,” explains the partner.
Paola is delighted with the new Arturito, whose architecture will also be signed by Isai Weinfeld as the Lacerda building, perhaps because she was not involved in the design of the first house. “Look, it’s hard to say because it’s always very broad. I opened Arturito in 2007 (one year before it opened) and now it’s 2022. It will be a more mature restaurant. Of course, creating an elegant and classic style of service will not be easy,” he says.
As for the menu, there should be no radical changes. The idea is to keep the same style with the addition of sentences, even if I haven’t started drawing them in detail yet. There will be no shortage of artisan pasta and some dishes to share the middle of the table. “I am moving towards a more vegetarian/vegan side of my diet. It is very likely that this will be reflected in Arturito’s next menu. We always have a lot of respect for the ingredients, the Italian-Mediterranean flavor and lots of vegetables,” he adds.

Paola says she stopped eating meat in February and doesn’t even know if she will ever include it in her diet again. “I’m tired of meat. All the drama is around him, the connection with deforestation, ”he laments. However, you will save one dish with the menu item.
I ask where the idea that she specializes in grilled steaks came from. “I think it came from Chef (The culinary reality of the group that introduced it nationally). Another innovation should be increased hours of operation, which may include a continental breakfast. As for the old townhouse in Pinheiros, it will not disappear anywhere. Paola and Goldenberg plan to open another business there. They only guarantee that it won’t be La Guapa. “Secret yet,” they chant in unison. It is to wait and see.
