Sabiaguaba, one of the green spaces in Fortaleza, which houses two conservation sites regulated since 2006, is still little known to tourists. The Cearenses are looking for a place to escape the crowds and try to relax. The rivers Coco and Pakoti pass through it. The beaches of the region, Abreulandia and Sabiaguaba, have a total length of about 30 kilometers. The area is rich in fish and shellfish, providing food and income for families in the region.
The shadows of the trees in the nature reserves invite you to relax after the ecological trails. In the late afternoon, you can see this sunset from the top of the dunes or at the restaurant’s pier and take a beautiful photo shoot with family and friends. If you like the beach, you can enjoy the natural pools or play with your kids and pets on the sand. If you prefer to go into the sea, be careful, as it is rough and there are many waves.

Ecological and gastronomic complex Sabaguaba
Scheduled for July this year, the Sabiaguaba Ecological and Gastronomic Complex aims to stimulate the economy and attract even more visitors to the region. The intention is to combine gastronomy, relaxation, environment and memory. The equipment consists of three poles: traditional gastronomy, cultural memory and nature, ecotourism and environmental education.
According to the State Secretariat for the Environment (Sema), permit holders participate in the Entrepreneurial Education and Social Gastronomy Program to “better accept the public and develop strategies to expand their business.”
About 11.5 million reais were invested in the complex. There will be 17 stalls for the production and sale of food products. A walking area has also been created on the top floor, overlooking the mangroves, the Coco River and the dunes of Sabaguaba.
