The largest building in the city has a brunch and a place where you can sit with friends – Sabor

The new restaurant stands out for its decor and menu for those who like to combine breakfast and lunch.

Decoration is one of the strengths of the house, which combines industrial style with classics and lots of plants.

The newly opened Funky Fresh, located on the first floor of Campo Grande’s tallest building, Vertigo, offers the perfect setting for those who love to combine breakfast and lunch, and has everything you need for those days when we want to wake up later but don’t forget to good food.

The spacious, welcoming and well-decorated place has become a meeting place for people who love gastronomy and are looking for places to spend time with friends. To a light soundtrack that comes from the choice of five friends and associates, the food is served fresh and well prepared, with most of the ingredients without industrial production.

The flagship here is brunch, which is served every day during all opening hours. The owners understand the business and local needs – they are crazy about good food and have traveled the world tasting the dishes they miss every time they return to Campo Grande.

Therefore, the project was polished for almost three years, until finally it was able to open its doors. Those who dared to join hands and invest in a new restaurant are Rodolfo Holsback, Romolo Holsback, Heitor Castro, Carol Jara and Alessandra Jara.

As people leave home more to eat and discover new things, they want to live in a new way. Our entire structure, menu and furnishings have been carefully and specifically designed to surprise Campo Grande,” explains Rodolfo.

Menu – Take a quick look around the restaurant and you will see every setting, even the impeccable cuisine under the guidance of Chef Natalia Garabini. From there comes a menu that includes brunch, breads and sandwiches, omelettes, tapioca, salads, bowls and desserts.

Good brunch options that can be served for both a hearty breakfast and lunch include “What The Funk” (42.00 reais). It is served with scrambled eggs, Parma ham, figs in honey, natural yeast bread slices and arugula.

“Sir Funk Bene” (R$ 32.00) with sourdough bread, avocado slices, tomatoes, a Benedictine egg with Dutch farofa and bacon, and mixed leaves make for a combination that’s hard to forget. Another good option is bread and sandwiches, which, despite the sophistication of the institution, are served on the table much more satisfying than in many other bakeries. One of the offerings is “Fresh So Funky” (42.00 reais), a sandwich with naturally fermented ciabatta, salmon gravlax, sour cream with a touch of Sicilian lemon, spinach, tomatoes and red onion. You can also try a typical Italian dish (36 reais) with naturally fermented ciabatta, buffalo mozzarella, Parma ham and arugula.

But if you’re a fan of hamburgers, you’ll be salivating over the Funky Patty (R$42), hamburger on brioche bun, buffalo mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, pickled red onion and mayonnaise.

Architecture – Decoration is one of the strengths of the house, which combines industrial style with classics and lots of plants. The starting point of the project, signed by Office 134 Arquitetura and Herbert Holdefer, was a space where people could stay longer than usual in an environment dedicated to gastronomy.

“The project was designed exactly for this. In general, it is difficult to come up with something where the visitor lingers longer, because the restaurant or bar needs to be deployed, but in the case of Funky Fresh, it was designed so that people stay there a lot,” emphasizes architect Herbert.

Individual arrangement of tables attracts visitors. Unlike restaurants with dozens of seats and the same tables, here it is as if there is a different atmosphere at every step, inviting you to admire or even take a picture. No wonder there is no shortage of customers in recent days using the space to “update the feed” of social media.

The bar as the centerpiece of the restaurant is also an invitation for those who don’t always have company for a drink at all times of the day, but feel at home here thanks to the counter and the variety of drinks on the menu. The outdoor environment is also full of plants and will appeal to those who prefer the outdoors.

For those who want to visit the restaurant, while the place is open from Tuesday to Friday, from 11:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 9:00 to 15:00. Address Travessa Ana Vani, 51, Centro.
